Uploading Audio Files to Nyquist

First, you'll need to login to your Nyquist system.

Once you have logged in. Look for Audio on the left side.

Here you will have a bunch of audio upload options

Announcements - Scheduled annoucements or something that you want to play on your PA system for a period of time. ie National Anthem or scheduled school bells for recess or lunch.

Playlist - Play random audio files. This is a manual start not automated. 

Recordings - Emergency calls or any calls you have deemed to be recorded.

Song - White Noise or something that should be played continuously.

Tones - School Bells or audio you want to schedule at a certain time via the site schedules.

Internet Radio Services - You can set up audio to be played a certain times. 

Announcements

To upload an accouncement to be played at will you will need to go under Audio > Annoucements.  Then click on the +

Then you can upload your annoucement and provide the details for it.

Name: Friendly name for you to remember it as
Type: Normal
DTMF Code: We usually start at 100 and go down
File Upload: Select the file you wish to upload. **Note you should remove all special characters from the filename. Use standard english alphabet.
Times to Play: How many time you want it to play
Time Between Repeats: If you want to give it a couple of seconds between Plays.
Play to Zone: Select the zone you wish to play that file in.
Description: More details if needed for the file. ie English Version, French Version etc. 
Then click on Save.

After you do this, the phones will reboot that are connected to the Nyquist system. 

After the phone reboots, click on Annoucements, then look for the Friendly Name you used for this annoucement and it will play when you want.

Tones

To upload a tone to be used like a school bell or audio that is scheduled, click on Tones.

At the top click on the + 

Then you'll have some options.

Give it a name
Type: Normal
Hide: No
Times to Play: Number of times you want it to play before it stops
DTMF Code: This is a number you can use to play the audio file. Usually we start at 100 and work our way down. 
File Upload: Select the wav or mp3 file you wish to upload. *Note take out and special characters. Only use english letters.

**After you upload your phones will reboot that are connected to the Nyquist

If you wish to add or change a recess or scheduled event go to the time you wish to change. Edit that time then select the tone that you just uploaded.

Then you're done. The new MP3 or WAV file that you uploaded will now play.
