Transferring calls to another extension and or their voicemail directly

Depending on the phone you have, some of the buttons might not work correctly to do transfers. Below you will find input prompts on how to avoid these issues. These steps will allow you to do these from any type of phone as long as they are connected to your phone system.

Tested on the following phones: Standard Analog Phone, Infinity 5010W and 5004, Multicell DECT Phones, Nortel T Series and Panasonic DT Series phones.

 


Transfer an active call using Attended Transfer

1. Dial *2, the system prompt will say "transfer" and present a dial tone.
2. Enter the extension you want to transfer the call to, then press #.
3. You can consult with the other party first before transferring the call.
4. Hang up the call to complete the transfer.

 


Transfer an active call using Blind Transfer | Send it and forget it Transfer

1. Dial ##, the system prompt will say "transfer" and present a dial tone.
2. Enter the extension you want to transfer the call to then press #
3. The call is immediately transferred.

**If you are a long-term care facility, you will need to dial ### instead of ##

 


Transfer an active call to Voicemail Box

1. Dial ##, the system prompt will say "transfer" and present a dial tone.
2. Enter #* followed by the mailbox you want to transfer the call to. (For example, to transfer to the mailbox of extension 200, enter #* 200.)
3. The call is immediately transferred. Note the call will hang up on your phone, it will not confirm that it has been transferred.
