Softphone App on your mobile device

For our new hosted platform you will need to download an app called Vodia. The app is free to use. Open the App Store or Play Store on your device and search for Vodia Phone app.

Install the app.

After you install it, it will ask for permission for a bunch of items on your phone. You must allow all of these options. The options will vary for iOS and Android phones. Below is the options for Android. iOS will have similar options.

The most important option you must click allow to is the Camera. We need this to scan the QR code.

After you have allowed all of these options. You will need to Scan the QR code that we sent you.

Tap on the little Globe

Then tap on Edit

Then you'll see Scan Code. This will be to scan the QR code we sent you.

You will need to have your QR code up on your computer or another device. There is no way to download it from your email to upload it into this app. You must use another device.

Tap on Scan Code, then your point your phone's camera towards the QR Code

As soon as you scan it, it will bring you right into the App. You do not need to scan the QR code again.

You should see the Dialpad in the bottom left corner of the screen. And you should be able to dial out and receive calls.

**Options

If you want to enable DND mode (Do not Disturb), tap on the History button, and then you'll need to click on the Bell icon in the top right.

When you tap on that, a new window will show

You can enable DND for a time or all the time.

Duration of time will be used if you do not wish to receive calls for the next hour or so for example.

Another option is if you do not want to get calls on your mobile device, but be able to make calls from the app. For example, you have a desk phone and a mobile app. You only want to get calls on your desk phone, not the mobile app. But you want to be able to make calls out so that clients you're calling see your company phone number and not your personal mobile number.

While in the app, tap on Settings, then go to Call Forwarding.

When you open that, you'll see options for call forwarding, then at the bottom, you'll see Disable calling the App

This will ignore your softphone app on your mobile device and only have called on your desk phone. You can still make outgoing calls, just no incoming calls. **Note when you do this, no transferred calls can come to your mobile device. You'll have to get your team to place a call on Park Orbit, then you can dial the park orbit number to retrieve the call.
