Open Multicell phone up for Registration

2 min. readlast update: 07.25.2024

The phones can not be registered on their own. You have to open them up for Provisioning/Registering on the Multicell DECT Network.

The process is very easy to do.

We will provide you with an IP of what Multicell Base unit to connect to, then after that you an do it on your own.

When we provide you with an IP address it must be http://192.168.1.100/ do not use https://192.168.1.100. HTTPS will not work and it won't redirect.

Open up your favourite Web Browser and go to the URL we provided.

Once in you'll see this screen.  You will want to go under Extensions.

From Extensions, you'll see all your extensions. Then if any phones are not connected, they will show as detached under the Handset State.

What you will want to do is click on the box beside the device you want to register, then click on Register Handset

Then you can go to your phone and Register the device. Note it should only take about 30 seconds or less. If it takes longer, please follow the directions under "Putting the phone into a Default State" below.

You can click on this link to Register on the Multicell phone.

Then you'll be done after it registers.

Putting the phone into a Default State

If the phone does not want to Register you can try the following. Click on the IPEI number under the Extensions tab.

Where it has the IPEI number like the photo below.

Change it to 10 capital Fs

FFFFFFFFFF

Then go down to Save and the page will refresh. Now go back to the phone and Register it. It will always register since it's in a default state.
