Your customer service rep will provide you with other details you will need to input in the app. The app is free to use and works with our Hosted Platforms.

First, you'll need to go to your App Store and search for an App called Linphone

Download and install that app. If it asks for permission to access your microphone, etc, please allow it, or it will not work.

After installation, you'll want to click on the 3 lines in the top left corner of the app.

Then click on Assistant, and a new window will appear.

Tap on Use SIP Account

The next window will ask you to confirm some options are not available with the free version, which is fine as you do not need those options.

Click on I understand and proceed to the next window.

On this screen, this is where you'll input the information that our Customer Service Rep provided to you.

Username will be your extension
Password will be provided from the Key2 CS Rep. This will not be your extension on the portal or voicemail password. Please use the one provided by Key2.
Domain will be example yourcompany.key2pbx.ca. Key2 will provide you with the proper domain. Do not put HTTP:// or HTTPS:// in front. Just input the domain that the CS rep gave you.

Display Name can be left blank, and make sure TCP is checked, then click on LOGIN.

This is an example of how it should look, but with our test details.

Then after you log in, you should see a Green Icon in the top left corner of the app.

Then you're done.

One suggestion that you should make a change to is the Audio bitrate limit.

Click on the 3 lines in the top left corner of the app. Then click on Settings. Then, on the new menu, under Preferences, tap on Audio.

You shouldn't need to scroll down; it should be close to the bottom of the menu. Look for the Codec bitrate limit. And change it to 128kbit/s.

The default setting that is there can limit the audio and might cause echo or delayed audio.  By doing this your allowing it to use more bandwitdh and the audio will be clear.

Once you have made the change, tap on the back arrow to go back to your main screen and you can start making and receiving calls.
