Graphus Warnings

What is Graphus?

Graphus is an Automated Phishing and Spam Defense System. When an email comes in, Graphus will look at the email, and then compare it to the company that is sending the email, then check and see if you have reported this as a good sending or not. If it's the first time seeing the email fro this person it will give you a warning banner. Just making sure you're aware of the email. Or if the email is being sent from a different sender than the company sending it, it will send you a warning.

It will not delete or block the emails from coming in, it will just give you a warning banner. See below for how to resolve this.

You have gotten a Graphus warning like the one below.

And you're not sure what to do? But the sender that sent you the email is legitimate, how can I fix this? Do I need to email Key2 for assistance?

The short answer is no. You can resolve this on your own. The notice above is a warning. It could be for possible reasons.

  • Never received an email from them before (Note Graphus was activated on May 1st, 2024. If you received an email from them before that date Graphus will not know and will flag it) If you are a new company or new client to Key2, you will see this on all incoming emails
  • The user is sending you an email from their platform and it uses a generic email or sends on behalf of them. This means they have authorized X Platform to send on their behalf, so it's not coming from company.com it's coming from xplatform.com with authorization from company.com.
  • The system thinks it could be a phishing attempt and is sending you a warning just to make sure you're aware.

How do you resolve this?

If you click on Remove Banner, it will train the system to know this is a good email, so next time it should not flag it.

When you click on that it will open up a webpage and let you know it's been received.

Note it can take up to 24-48 hours for the AI and the Graphus system to fully authorize a sender. But after the 24-48 hours, you should not see this warning from a sender you marked safe.
