Connecting to your Office VPN with Meraki

If you need to connect to an office resouce and need to use a VPN, you'll need to connect to the firewall with Cisco AnyConnect. 

This is free software that you can install on your PC or MAC to connect to the VPN.

Download and install the one you need. 

After you have installed the app, open the app, and then go to Setting. Uncheck Block Untrusted Servers. 

Then go back to VPN

Click on Manage VPN then a new window will pop up

Click on Add VPN and another new window will pop up.

Change VPN Provider to AnyConnect

For Connection Name. Input any Friendly name you want to use. ie OffceVPN

Server Name or Address: we will provide this to you. It will be a very long URL. Note when we send it to you, it might add https:// to the URL. You want to remove that. it should only be like companyname.m-dynamic.com

Username and password would be the username and password you created when we invited you to the Cisco Anyconnect VPN. You won't be able to input your username and password, but you can click on save.

After you press save, it will go back to the main Window where you can click on Connect. 

Click on Connect, then you'll get this message

Click on Next, then it will ask you to input your username and password.

Once you have connected Successfully, you should get a Message of the Day.

You can click on Next, then it will show you that you're connected. c

Now that you have done this, you can connect to the resources that you normall would connect to. When you're done, you will need to click on Disconnect.

***Note, any web browsing or connecting to Apps etc will be done through this VPN. ie If you connect to facebook.com, the Firewall will log that you went to facebook.com. If you want to do any private browsing, disconnect from the VPN.
